PAIN, INJURY AND REHABILITATION
Conditions We Commonly Assess
Physiotherapy assessment can help explore the factors contributing to pain, injury, mobility changes and rehabilitation needs. Treatment is planned around the individual rather than a diagnosis label alone.
Back and Neck Pain
Assessment and rehabilitation for back, neck and spinal symptoms, with advice shaped around movement, confidence and day-to-day function.
Hip and Knee Pain
Support for hip, knee and lower limb symptoms, including activity-related pain, rehabilitation needs and post-operative goals.
Shoulder and Upper Limb Pain
Physiotherapy for shoulder, arm, wrist and hand symptoms, with assessment linked to strength, mobility and everyday use.
Sports Injuries
Assessment and rehabilitation for sports-related injuries, training load issues and return-to-exercise planning.
Neurological Conditions
Rehabilitation for people living with neurological conditions where balance, walking, strength, confidence or everyday function may be affected.
Post-Operative Recovery
Rehabilitation after surgery, planned around consultant guidance, mobility, strength and a gradual return to everyday activities.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment is individual
Symptoms can have different contributing factors. Physiotherapy does not replace urgent medical assessment, and new or serious symptoms may require advice from a GP, NHS 111 or emergency care.
